Durante el Foro de Salud de la ANDI, Ana Edith Hern\u00e1ndez L\u00f3pez, directora ejecutiva del Observatorio Institucional de C\u00e1ncer de Adultos, advirti\u00f3 sobre las crecientes dificultades que enfrentan los pacientes oncol\u00f3gicos para acceder oportunamente a sus tratamientos y mantener la continuidad de su atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La especialista se\u00f1al\u00f3 que los problemas que atraviesa el sistema est\u00e1n afectando de manera directa a una poblaci\u00f3n especialmente vulnerable, cuya supervivencia y calidad de vida dependen del acceso permanente a consultas, procedimientos y medicamentos especializados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3, los retrasos en la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios y las fallas en la entrega de tratamientos pueden tener consecuencias graves en la evoluci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica de los pacientes con c\u00e1ncer, al comprometer la efectividad de las terapias y aumentar los riesgos asociados a la enfermedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hern\u00e1ndez L\u00f3pez indic\u00f3 que esta situaci\u00f3n se suma a las dificultades financieras que afectan a distintos actores del sector salud y que han sido expuestas durante el encuentro gremial. Por ello, insisti\u00f3 en la necesidad de adoptar medidas urgentes que permitan garantizar la continuidad de la atenci\u00f3n oncol\u00f3gica y evitar que la crisis siga profundizando las barreras de acceso para quienes requieren tratamientos de alto costo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La directiva tambi\u00e9n hizo un llamado a fortalecer la articulaci\u00f3n entre aseguradores, prestadores, autoridades y dem\u00e1s integrantes del sistema, con el fin de proteger a los pacientes que dependen de una atenci\u00f3n integral y oportuna para preservar su calidad de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estas advertencias se conocen en medio del debate nacional sobre la sostenibilidad del sistema de salud y las dificultades que enfrentan tanto usuarios como prestadores para acceder a recursos, medicamentos y servicios especializados, un panorama que mantiene la incertidumbre sobre la capacidad de respuesta del sector frente a las necesidades de miles de pacientes en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La crisis que enfrenta el sistema de salud colombiano contin\u00faa generando alertas entre los diferentes actores del sector.
